I love birthday parties. There's nothing in life that compares to being around other people, eating cake and ice cream, singing songs, exchanging well wishes, and opening presents. Even the smells in the air bring back pleasant memories of yesteryears. Just don't let anyone touch your face, and be sure to give really short responses when anyone asks you a question. Rest homes for the blind get a little defensive when a stranger shows up for their parties uninvited. If by chance they discover that you don't belong, dart for the exit and get out of there! The last thing you want is 20 canes blindly (no pun intended) being swung at your head with reckless abandon. Oh...and don't bother flipping off the lights and chucking couch cushions at everyone......Blind people seem to move around just as effectively with the lights off. "Blind" my eye!

Tangerine
When I was little, I used to dress up with Ned and sing to friends and family in our neighborhood. We sang all the the hits, and the crowd would always go wild at the conclusion of every performance. Jazz, rock, classicals, broadway...you name it, we sang it. Pretty soon Ned lost his voice and shriveled up and died. When my mom told me that Ned was actually a tangerine, I was devastated.
Needless to say...to this day, I hate fruit!
Welcome To My Lie'f
My life is full of love, adventure, tragedy, and pain...not to mention lies. Couldn't think of a more appropriate title to my life than LLLL (Lovin Life...Livin Lies). When it is all said and done and I have died a tragic death...people will be calling me left and right for the rights to re-make my life in the form of a movie - or audio cassette. And when they do, I'll just laugh...."YOU HAD YOUR CHANCE!" I'll say. "Now just sit back, and let me do the talkin."
Years later, when I'm sailing towards an island with gold in one hand and "fist fightin fury" in the other, I'll mail my stories to a poor family in Peru and say, in the form of a letter, "here's my life...now go live yours".
So here's my thoughts on life....all wrapped in a blog, with a side of pain. Enjoy this meal, it's on me.
